Motorbike muffler packing absorbs sound and is heat resistant.  It is suitable for marine exhausts, and performance silencers too. We use e-glass needlemat which can take extremely high temperatures.  Packing your muffler correctly and with the right product can improve power by up to 15%.

Quick Tips:

• Wrap the perforated core evenly and ensure the packing remains snug while the muffler is reassembled
• 6mm or 25mm
  • 6mm gives more control over layering the core as you wrap it.  Either fold the mat in half first and then wrap (this will give 12mm thickness per wrap) or keep as a 6mm layering wrap
  • 25 mm is out of the box ready to wrap most standard cores

• Wear gloves and a mask when handling this type of fibreglass cloth.  Needlemat can be itchy and irritating when handling or cutting.
