CHP Catalyst

CHP is an initiator.  It is made for the polymerisation of  styrene, butadiene, acrylonitrile, vinylacetate, acrlylates and methacrylates.   It is also used with MEKP to increase working time for Polyester and Vinyl Ester resins.

Features:

• Can be activated by organic-soluble or water-soluble reducing agents, or by metal compounds to achieved polymerization at room temperature or lower.
• Styrene and methyl methacrylate can be polymerized in bulk in the temperature range of 60-100C
• Can be blended with MEKP to tune gel-time or slow down reaction speed

• Use only in temperature controlled environments
• Not recommended for:
  • Hand lay‑up
  • Spray‑up
  • General-purpose laminating
• For professional / industrial users only

A few words on safety:

• CHP is an organic peroxide and this means it needs to be handled with care
  • Make sure the product is opened in a well ventilated area, using PPE, including overalls, googles and respirator.
  • Clean hands before and after use.
  • Avoid breathing vapours and wash clothing that comes in contact before reuse.
• Do not allow this product to touch:
  • acids
  • alkalis
  • metal salts
  • cobalt accelerators
