Infusion mesh allows the resin to move from the inlet side to the outlet side of the infusion smoothly.  Extruded mesh is suited to flatter and less complex shapes.

  • Infusion mesh is added to your layup after the Peel Ply (if you are using this – which we recommend)
    • Overlap mesh slightly at the joins
  • Extruded vs Knitted
    • Extruded better for:
      • Flat panels, hulls
        • Gives fast, even flow and is easy to remove
      • Large simple parts
        • Cheaper than knitted and quick and easy to use
    • Knitted better for:
      • Complex shapes and corners
        • Conforms well and so no bridging
      • Small intricate parts
        • Best fit and less risk of dry spots
