Quick Tips:

 

  • 80 grit – heavy prep, removing material, roughing surfaces
  • 120–180 grit – shaping and smoothing repairs
  • 240–320 grit – final sanding before coating or painting
  • Work through grits gradually for best finish
  • Wet or dry sanding?
    • Dry sanding (this product): best for removing material and surface prep
    • Wet sanding: smoother finish with less dust and clogging

A few words on safety:

  • Use at least a P2 filter mask as sanding dust is harmful.  Eye protection and gloves are also recommended.
