Spherecore is a lightweight core material used to add thickness and stiffness to your part without the weight of extra fibreglass layers.  Once wet out, it is very conformable and will follow curves easily.

Features:

  • Builds laminate thickness without multiple layers of reinforcement
  • Spherecore uses less resin, has faster absorption and more efficient wet-out than traditional core materials
  • Can be drilled and hold fittings when encapsulated within a laminate

Quick Tips:

  • Allow 600g resin per m2 per mm of core
  • Laminate base glass layer
  • Pre-wet the rough side of the core material using around 30% of required amount of resin
  • Place wet side down on first glass layer and wet out with leftover resin
  • Shape wet core and then add top glass layers
