Carbon fibre sock (also called carbon braid or carbon sleeve) is a tubular braided carbon reinforcement used for strengthening round or irregular shapes where flat cloth is difficult to apply neatly.

The braid expands and contracts, allowing it to be slipped over tubes, rods, shafts, or corners and then wetted out with resin.

Quick Tips:

• Slide the sock over the dry part and then wet out thoroughly
• Can be covered with high shrink tape to consolidate the part as it sets
• Multiple layers can be applied for additional strength
• Epoxy resin is the preferred resin to use with carbon fibre
