Gelcoat is a pigmented polyester resin used mostly in boat repairs and mould making. It provides a smooth, glossy, and protective finish that resists UV, water, and chemical damage.

  • Brushing Grade
  • Coverage:
    • 1kg will cover approximately 1.6m2 in a single layer
    • Gelcoat should be applied between 0.4mm and 0.6mm thick
    • Gelcoat is normally applied in two layers
  • Mixing Ratio
    • Mix in MEKP at a ratio of 2-2.5% by weight.
    • Use scales as this ratio is based on weight not volume
