Chopped strand mat builds thickness and bonds layers together. 225gsm is suited to controlled layering especially on curves and detailed areas.

Quick Tips:
- Dry cut CSM before mixing up your resin to avoid sticky gloves, wasted time and a messy lay-up.
- Wet out one layer at a time and apply next layer while still wet. For thicker laminates, build in stages (typically 2-4 layers at a time) to avoid excess heat when the resin cures.
- Choose the right weight of CSM for each part of your build
- 225gsm – gives controlled layering
- 300gsm – shapes well around curves and details
- 450gsm – balances build up speed and conformability
- 600gsm – builds thickness quickly but is stiffer

- Glass fibres will irritate your skin and lungs. Wear gloves, long sleeves and mask when handling and sanding
