Double Bias is a structural reinforcement cloth with fibres running diagonally at 45 degree angles.  This gives strength in multiple directions when load or stress is placed on the laminate.  This makes double bias very useful for corners, transitions, chines, gunnels, tabbing and repairs.

Features:

  • Pre-cut into useful 150mm width saving time and waste
  • Double bias fabric is stitched together making it compatible with epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester resin systems
    • 400gsm is easier to conform around tighter shapes and contours
    • 600gsm is stiffer and is commonly used where higher strength is required with fewer layers
  • Available in precut lengths or any custom length you choose

Quick Tips:

  • Apply a thin layer of resin before positioning the tape, then fully wet out the fibres
  • Lay the rough side down and the smoother (shiny) side up
  • Multiple layers can be applied to build thickness and strength
  • As a guide:
    • 150mm 400gsm tape uses approximately 500g of resin per 6 lineal metres
    • 150mm 600gsm tape uses approximately 750g of resin per 6 lineal metres
