Acetone is a high-strength solvent used in fibreglass work for cleaning, degreasing and dissolving. It evaporates quickly and leaves no residue making it excellent for removing uncured resin from your tools, workspaces and projects.

Quick Tips

  • Use acetone immediately after resin work to prevent hard build-up
  • Always store in a sealed container to reduce evaporation
  • Do not use on painted or delicate surfaces – may damage finish

A few words on safety

  • Acetone is very volatile – vapours can ignite – think petrol style flammable.
  • It’s a very strong chemical – it can remove paint – so gloves, eye protection and mask minimum
