A zinc-pigmented, quick-drying epoxy primer designed for grit-blasted steel. Built for long-term corrosion protection, this primer is highly weather-resistant and can even be left uncoated in areas that are inaccessible after fabrication. Perfect for shop priming and container systems.
  • Zinc-pigmented for superior corrosion resistance
  • Quick drying – touch dry in 10 mins, hard dry in 4 hrs @ 25°C
  • Highly water and weather resistant
  • Can be overcoated with a wide range of systems:
    • 158 Hi Build Epoxy Primer Undercoat
    • 199 Epoxy Primer Undercoat
    • 343 Polyurethane Gloss
  • Avoid first coats containing materials reactive with zinc (e.g., drying oils)
  • Made in NZ for NZ conditions

Quick Tips

  • Apply immediately after grit blasting (Sa 2½ standard) to prevent flash rust
  • Substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point
  • Relative humidity should not exceed 85%
  • Use recommended thinners:
    • Brushing: 9.03 Transomarine Brushing Thinners
    • Spraying: 9.04 Transomarine Spraying Thinners
